Who We Are

What We Collect
- Email address - when you sign up for the waitlist.
- Consent records - timestamp, IP address, and which consents you gave (beta updates, marketing, analytics linking), as proof of your agreement.
- Marketing preference - whether you opted in to receive communications about other projects by bardOZ. This is a separate, optional consent.
- Usage analytics - page views, clicks, scroll depth, video interactions, and section visibility. Before you provide your email, this data is anonymous and cannot be linked to you. If you sign up for the waitlist and consent to analytics linking, your browsing activity on this site is associated with your email address in our analytics platform (PostHog) to help us improve the product.
Why We Collect It
- Email: to communicate about FindMyMouse beta access and product updates. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
- Marketing: to send you updates about bardOZ's other projects and content. Legal basis: your separate, optional consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time.
- Anonymous analytics: to understand how the site is used and improve it. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Before you sign up, analytics are cookieless and anonymous.
- Identified analytics: to link your browsing activity to your email after you sign up, so we can understand how waitlist users interact with the site and improve the product. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given via the waitlist signup checkbox.
How Long We Keep It
- Email and consent records: until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- Anonymous analytics data: aggregated and anonymous; no retention limit applies as it contains no personal data.
- Identified analytics data: until you request deletion. Upon deletion, your analytics data is disassociated from your email and becomes anonymous.
Who Has Access
We use the following processors to operate FindMyMouse:
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) - server hosting.
- GoDaddy Inc. (USA) - domain registration and DNS. No user data is processed by GoDaddy.
- PostHog, Inc. - cookieless usage analytics, stored and processed in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). Anonymous before signup; linked to your email after signup if you consent.
We do not sell, share, or transfer your email address to any other party.
Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Data portability.
- Lodge a complaint with the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).

Cookies
FindMyMouse does not use cookies for analytics or tracking. If you access the beta application, a session token is stored in your browser's local storage to keep you logged in. This is strictly necessary for the service to function and does not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive.
Changes
We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated via email to waitlist subscribers. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
